Bayer Leverkusen confirm that Amine Adli suffered a fracture to his left collarbone in their Bundesliga clash against Augsburg on Saturday and will be out until at least the end of September.
It was the 22-year-old’s first appearance after five months out injured.
“Adli, who will not have to undergo an operation, will probably be available again after the international break in September according to current assessments,” read the club’s website.
Joining last summer from Toulouse for €7.5m, Adli has played 35 games across all competitions, scoring four and creating four – the Frenchman was sidelined in March for the remainder of the 2021/22 season after suffering a torn ligament in his right thigh.
The Bundesliga side also confirm that Andrey Lunev will be out for around six weeks.
Bayer Leverkusen are winless so far this season, eliminated from the DFB Pokal to fourth tier side Elversberg before starting their 2022/23 Bundesliga campaign with successive defeats against Borussia Dortmund and Augsburg.
