Bayer Leverkusen look set to sign Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to Kicker.
It’s reported that Bayer are confident that the signing will go through with the transfer fee and players’ wages have already been agreed upon.
However, there are possible legal matters which may interfere with the deal.
Mudryk (21) is at risk of being conscripted into the Ukrainian military due to the ongoing war in the country.
Despite this, Bayer are confident that this will not be an issue.
If the transfer goes through, further activity on the transfer market will depend on players leaving the club.
When it comes to players such as Charles Aránguiz, Mitchel Bakker, and Moussa Diaby, there is currently no concrete deals on the horizon. However, as the transfer window continues this could easily change.
Other players such as goalkeeper Lennart Grill (23) and defender Mitchell Weiser (28) are reportedly set to move to Union Berlin and Werder Bremen respectively.
