Baumgart rues mistakes after Köln’s home defeat to Bochum

FC Köln “made mistakes in all areas” against Bochum, said a disappointed Steffen Baumgart after the game.

FC Köln coach Steffen Baumgart lamented his side’s mistakes after Friday’s disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to VfL Bochum.

“It’s very annoying to lose to a competitor, but we have to move on,” Baumgart told DAZN after the game.

“We made a lot of mistakes. We made simple mistakes in all areas,” he added.

Cologne have now lost three of their last four games, failing to score in any of them.

“The boys worked hard, but something is still missing. We’re not converting our chances into goals at the moment,” noted Baumgart.
