Barcelona’s Ansu Fati asking price revealed

An insight into the sum which would be required to see the Barcelona brass give serious consideration to the permanent sale of Ansu Fati has been forthcoming online.

Wide-man Ansu, for his part, is of course fresh off an altogether underwhelming loan stint away from Catalunya’s capital.

After making the move to England with Brighton & Hove Albion, a combination of fitness problems and lack of form culminated in a paltry haul of just three Premier League starts.

Such woes had given rise to previous claims that Ansu had not done enough to convince the Blaugrana board of his readiness to contribute with the club next season.

Recent weeks, though, have seen it suggested that new head coach Hansi Flick is willing to afford the 21-year-old the chance to impress in pre-season.

And as much, on Wednesday, has been reiterated.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, in the knowledge that they will struggle to find a club willing to take on Ansu’s considerable wages as part of a loan for next season, the preference is for the Spanish international to stay put, in an effort to rediscover his form.

Ansu himself, meanwhile, remains desperate to carve out a role for himself at his boyhood club.

So, all of this taken into consideration, what could change the minds of Deco and the powers that be at the Camp Nou?

According to MD, an offer in the region of €40 million.

Should as much land on the desks at Barcelona over the coming months, it is viewed as likely that the Catalans would cut their losses, and sanction a sale.
