As reported by Sport, Barcelona informed Dani Alves this morning that he will not remain at the club after 30 June.
Alves signed for Barça at the end of last year to help the team on and off the pitch under Xavi Hernández and reduced his salary in order to complete his return to the club.
The veteran right-back began his spell in the starting eleven and played a lot of minutes although he was not included in the Europa League squad.
The Brazilian already knows that he will have to look for a new team, as he wants to prepare in the best possible way for this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
The economic situation at Barça and the likely signing of César Azpilicueta has caused the club to decide against offering Alves a new deal.
His short-term deal at Camp Nou expires at the end of the month.
