The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday closed an agreement over the terms of a contract with a leading member of the club’s summer transfer wishlist.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Nico Williams as the player in question.
It is of course common knowledge across all of Spain that the brass at the Camp Nou have identified wide-man Nico as their leading target with a view to next season.
Fresh off a scintillating Euro 2024 campaign, the 22-year-old is considered the ideal profile to fill the space on the Blaugrana’s left flank.
Negotiations, in turn, have long been kicked into gear, between Deco and his team, and Nico’s entourage.
And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, such talks, it would appear, have borne fruit.
As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:
“Total agreement between Barca and Nico Williams’ agent. As soon as the player gives the OK, Barça will activate the release clause.”
