La Liga giants Barcelona have moved forward with a loan offer for an up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at Liverpool.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Stefan Bajcetic as the player in question.
The brass at the Camp Nou, over the last 24 hours, have of course been forced to reopen their search for reinforcements in the middle of the park.
This comes after engine room sensation Marc Bernal was condemned to a lengthy spell on the sidelines, owing to an ACL tear in his left knee.
Deco and co, in turn, have quickly set about identifying market opportunities, to fill the void left by a player who featured from the off in all three of Barcelona’s La Liga fixtures to open the campaign.
And this search, as alluded to above, has this afternoon led the Blaugrana to Premier League heavyweights Liverpool.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:
‘Barcelona submit straight loan proposal to Liverpool for talented midfielder Stefan Bajcetic!’
The bid in question is understood to be worth a sum in the region of €4 million, and does not feature an option to buy upon the conclusion of the campaign.
With RB Salzburg also in the running for Bajcetic, it now remains to be seen where the Spanish youth international ends up.
