Barcelona youngster Hèctor Fort recently rejected the opportunity to link up with Serie A outfit Como on loan for the 2nd half of the campaign.
That’s according to the reliable Cat Radio, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Italian side Como have of course taken their place front and centre in the headlines in Barcelona over recent days.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that manager Cesc Fàbregas and co. had done enough to convince Blaugrana talent Álex Valle to make the move to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
As alluded to above, though, it would appear that as much only came about after Como came up short in their pursuit of another young Barca full-back.
As per a report from Cat Radio:
‘Cesc Fàbregas’ Como presented an offer to Barça to sign Hèctor Fort this January. But the player preferred to remain at Barça.’
Right-back Fort, for his part, has taken to the pitch on 11 occasions for Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana this season.
