Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí has moved to issue something of a rallying cry to the club’s supporters.
This, of course, comes fresh off another hugely disappointing evening for all associated with Barcelona on Saturday.
Hansi Flick’s troops welcomed Atlético Madrid to Catalunya’s capital last night, for a crunch showdown atop the La Liga table.
When all was said and done, it was the latter who emerged on the right side of the result, owing to a last-gasp Alexander Sørloth winner.
As much means that Barcelona – who at one point looked as though they might run away with the title – could be knocked down to 3rd in the standings by the day’s end.
The Blaugrana, all told, have emerged triumphant from just one of their last seven league fixtures.
The mood across the club’s fanbase heading into the winter break, in turn, is something of a sombre one at present.
During an exchange with the media in the aftermath of Saturday’s latest defeat, Barca starlet Pau Cubarsí therefore made use of the opportunity to send a message to any and all supporters of his side.
Adamant that he and his teammates will provide ‘many happy moments’ before the season is out, Cubarsí spoke out as follows:
“I ask the Barcelona fans to be with us in these difficult times. You will see that there are many happy moments to come this season. The league is very long and we will fight until the end.”
