Barcelona starlet Marc Casadó has on Friday been named as part of the senior Spanish national team setup for the very first time.
Casadó, for his part, has of course spent recent weeks solidifying himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick.
The 21-year-old has built a stellar deep-lying midfield partnership with Pedri, shining in and out of possession alike.
Casadó’s influence in the attacking third has been increasingly apparent over the last fortnight in particular, with the Spaniard having notched an assist in three of his last four appearances, too.
And, as alluded to above, this afternoon, such excellence on the part of the youngster has been recognised by his nation.
This comes amid confirmation that the midfielder has joined Blaugrana teammates Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo and Pedri in securing a place in Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad.
This marks Casadó’s very first senior call-up at international level.
