A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona played through an injury for a lengthy stretch of the club’s latest outing.
That’s according to Barcelona insider Toni Juanmarti, who points towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
The name of youngster Casadó has of course taken its place centre stage in the media chatter across Spain over the course of the day to date.
This comes after the 21-year-old was condemned to a potentially lengthy spell on the sidelines, with a knee injury.
Casadó featured from the off on Sunday night, as Barcelona made the trip to the Spanish capital for a crunch La Liga showdown with Atlético Madrid.
When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops recovered from two goals down, to emerge on the right side of a 4-2 scoreline.
But the result came at a cost, as the club’s midfield starlet was dealt a heavy blow.
As revealed by the aforementioned Toni Juanmarti, in fact, Casadó played through the pain barrier for a full 40 minutes of yesterday’s action at the Metropolitano.
