A headline member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday revealed which teams he expects to lock horns in this season’s edition of the Champions League final.
The player in question? Pedri.
Spanish international Pedri will of course be hopeful of featuring in a little over a week’s time, when Barcelona kick their continental campaign back into gear.
A quarter-final showdown with French champions Paris Saint-Germain lies in wait, with the 21-year-old currently in the latter stages of recovery from his latest injury.
As part of a Q&A with The Residency on Monday, Pedri, in turn, was drawn on the road ahead for Barcelona, in their hunt for Champions League glory.
Specifically, the engine room standout was asked which two clubs he views as most likely to compete for the trophy in the competition’s finale on June 1st.
And Pedri’s response has since turned heads, with the youngster seemingly confident in his side’s chances of going all the way, to face off with one of Manchester City, or arch rivals Real Madrid:
“My prediction for the Champions League final? Barça vs. Man City… But a Barça vs. Real Madrid final wouldn’t be bad either!”
