A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Sunday pushed beyond the 20-mark for assists this season.
The player in question? Raphinha.
Barcelona were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Spain’s capital for a La Liga showdown with Atlético Madrid.
The aforementioned Raphinha for his part featured from the off in the clash, beginning in his customary berth on the left flank, before moving to a more central role during the 2nd-half.
And though the Brazilian did not enjoy the finest outing of what has been a sensational individual campaign to date, he nevertheless managed to conjure up moments of quality when it mattered most.
En route to a stunning 4-2 Barcelona comeback, Raphinha laid on the assists for both of substitute Ferran Torres’ goals.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the former Leeds United standout broke the 20 assist mark for the season.
All told, in 42 appearances across all competitions, Raphinha has now racked up 27 goals, and 21 assists.
