Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski was on Wednesday forced to attend a court date in his native Poland.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing Sport.pl, who have this afternoon provided an insight into the situation.
Lewandowski, it is understood, has built a blackmail case against a former business partner, namely Cezary Kucharski.
As per Sport’s report:
‘The conflict between Lewandowski and Kucharski, caused by the liquidation of old businesses, originated several years ago when the former agent expected to receive a high commission from the footballer for the sale of shares in the company ‘RL Management.’
Upon receiving an unsatisfactory response, Kucharski directed an accusation of tax fraud at Lewandowski.
The veteran goalscorer then hit back with a blackmail accusation of his own.
And it is the latter which is the subject of today’s legal case, playing out in front of the District Court of Warsaw-Srodmiescie.
The hearing is taking place behind closed doors, but an update on the situation is expected in due course.
