Barcelona star Jules Koundé has admitted that he was left with a bitter taste in his mouth on Tuesday evening.
This, of course, comes fresh off Barcelona keeping alive their pursuit of the Champions League crown.
The Blaugrana marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Germany for the 2nd leg of a quarter-final tie with Borussia Dortmund.
Hansi Flick’s troops were ultimately condemned to defeat for the very first time in 2025, by way of a Serhou Guirassy-inspired 3-1 result.
As much mattered little in the grand scheme of the tie, though, after a 4-0 Barca romp in Catalunya’s capital last week.
And yet, whilst there was plenty of reason for the evening’s visitors to celebrate post-match at Signal Iduna Park, one individual who could not hide his frustration was Jules Koundé.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle on Tuesday, defender Koundé admitted:
“To be honest, I am very disappointed with the match we played.”
