Spanish football’s two leading clubs are amongst a select group of clubs who boast an option to sign Borussia Dortmund star Serhou Guirassy this summer.
That’s according to German football insider Patrick Berger, who has on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
Frontman Guirassy is for his part in the midst of what has been a stellar individual campaign to date.
Across 41 appearances in all competitions, the Guinean has racked up a hefty 37 direct goal contributions.
This includes a thoroughly impressive 13 goals in the Champions League, a trio of which came against none other than Barcelona last week.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana are one club who, should they choose to move for him, could potentially sign Guirassy this summer.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned Patrick Berger that:
‘Only a few European clubs can trigger Serhou Guirassy’s release clause after the FIFA Club World Cup this summer. According to our information, those clubs are:
- Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal’
It is also noted, though, that Guirassy himself has no plans to depart Signal Iduna Park any time soon.
