There are few uncertainties in Barcelona’s starting XI against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening. Xavi is expected to field a largely unchanged side to the one that beat PSG 3-2 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final at the Parc des Princes last Wendesday.
Barcelona are, however, without two players. Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen both received yellow cards in the first leg last week and therefore miss the return leg through suspension. It is unclear who will replace Roberto. It may be Pedri. The Spaniard, injured at the start of March, came off the bench to register an assist against PSG last week but whether he is fit to start is uncertain. However, the signs are that Pedri may get the nod in Roberto’s absence.
Barcelona likely lineup v PSG
Marc-André ter Stegen; João Cancelo, Pau Cubarsí, Ronaldo Araujo, Jules Koundé; Pedri, Ilkay Gündogan, Frenkie De Jong; Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal. (L’Éq)
