Barcelona midfielder Pedri was forced off in the 40th minute of the Europa League match against Manchester United on Thursday due to a thigh problem.
The No. 8 pulled the muscle and asked to be substituted with head coach Xavi Hernández opting for Sergi Roberto to replace the Spain international in midfield.
The first medical report pending further tests indicates that he will be out for the return leg at Old Trafford next Thursday.
According to Mundo Deportivo via La TdT de Catalunya Ràdio, he will be out for three to four weeks and will also miss the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday 2 March.
Fellow midfielder Gavi will miss the match against United through suspension and Sergio Busquets is still a doubt after spraining his ankle recently. France international Ousmane Dembélé is currently ruled out through injury.
