According to SPORT, Barcelona are eyeing a January move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho while they prepare a summer swoop for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.
Sancho has been exiled from the United first team after refusing to apologise to manager Erik ten Hag following a social media post that undermined the Dutch coach.
After Ten Hag dropped the English international for their Arsenal clash and blamed it on his subpar training sessions, Sancho claimed he was being scapegoated.
Ten Hag reportedly demanded an apology, and the former Borussia Dortmund winger has refused to give it. The club has since asked him to stay away from the first team and train alone.
Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a loan approach for the United winger in January, but it is difficult to see this deal going through.
Barcelona’s financial woes are well-documented. The Catalans are already facing problems ahead of the winter window, as the new La Liga salary cap means they cannot register incoming Vitor Roque.
Barca signed the Brazilian phenom to join them in January, but they might not even be able to register him to join them until next summer. The prospect of Sancho’s salary on their books looks impossible right now.
As for Kimmich, the German midfielder feels less valued under Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel.
Despite being a mainstay in the Bayern first-team picture for years, Tuchel seemingly doesn’t trust Kimmich like that.
Yesterday, Tuchel hooked him early into the second half in their clash with Bayer Leverkusen, and the tension between the pair was palpable.

Barcelona were linked with a move for Kimmich all summer, but even if the Bayern maestro were to leave, it is impossible to see the Blaugrana pulling off the deal.
Barcelona’s dilapidating finances saw them only sign low-cost and free players this summer. Their only big-money signing was Roque.
It is nigh impossible to see Barca stumping the massive sum Bayern will demand for Kimmich.
While Barcelona’s interest in both Sancho and Kimmich may be real, their current financial situation and the substantial financial demands of these transfers present significant obstacles.
The probability of these deals coming to fruition is minimal.
