Barcelona are projected to return to the newly-renovated Spotify Camp Nou in December. They have been at the Estadi Olimpic in Montjuic since the start of last season, which has led to a significant loss in revenue. Because of this, club bosses are desperate to return home as early as possible.

Although Barcelona’s intention is to be back at the Spotify Camp Nou in December, they would need to play at least one match at the Estadi Olimpic after this date: their final home match in the 2024-25 Champions League league phase. UEFA regulations do not allow a team to switch stadiums during one stage.
Barcelona are hoping to be granted an exemption by UEFA, and as reported by Catalunya Radio’s Tot Costa (via MD), they are currently in talks with the European football governing body. The home match in question that they hope to play at the Spotify Camp Nou will be on the 21st/22nd or 29th of January, MD7 or MD8 of the league phase respectively.
It’s clear to see why Barcelona want to be granted an exemption. They would be backed by more supporters at the Spotify Camp Nou, which would in turn also earn them more money. It remains to be seen what UEFA say.
