Barcelona have secure second place, and a spot in next season’s Spanish Super Cup, if they defeat Rayo Vallecano on Sunday evening. Xavi Hernandez’s side have won their last two (vs Real Sociedad and Almeria), and they should welcome back Ronald Araujo from injury as they go for three on the trot.

Araujo has missed the last two with discomfort in his knee, which has saw him miss training for much of the last week. Fortunately, he returned to the session on Saturday, which suggests that he should be available to face Rayo at the Estadi Olimpic.
It’s been a tough few weeks for Araujo, having come under-fire for several high profile mistakes – none more so than the red card against Paris Saint-Germain. His future as Barcelona player has also generated significant speculation, and it’s not set in stone that he could be playing his final matches in the Blaugrana jersey.
