Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona will no doubt be thrilled to learn of the latest social media activity on the part of young defender Mikayil Faye.
The name of stopper Faye has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several months now.
This comes owing to widespread speculation surrounding the future of the Senegalese.
Amid something of a logjam at the heart of defence in Barcelona’s first-team setup, Deco and co. have seemingly identified Faye’s sale as something of a market opportunity.
Portuguese heavyweights Porto, in turn, are understood to have held extensive discussions over a potential deal for the youngster.
As alluded to above, though, any sort of transfer, as things stand at least, appears some way off.
This comes amid confirmation that Faye has linked up with new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick’s squad for pre-season.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Wednesday, the gifted defender unveiled a photo of he and Frenkie de Jong, accompanied by the caption:
“We back innit”
