Barcelona could make one last attempt to sign Fiorentina and Morocco midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
Alfredo Pedulla has provided some more information about the situation of Amrabat, saying that Fiorentina’s stance is clear about the midfielder – they will keep him, and that is their final decision. Initially, it was Xavi himself who tried to bring the midfielder to the Nou Camp.
In the afternoon, he got in touch with the entourage of the player and he proposed an initial loan with the option to buy, without any obligation to buy. Fiorentina responded to this with a resounding ‘no’ and at 6pm, Barcelona made another offer for the player. They increased the loan fee but the option to buy him permanently existed even in that offer.
There is a possibility that they make another attempt to buy the player on deadline day but Fiorentina are very sure that they will not let him leave. So, there is a very high chance that the next attempt also gets rejected.
