The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona are inching ever closer to tying up an agreement which will boost the club’s financial situation to no end.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards the deal in question as being set to come with Nike.
The subject of Barcelona’s discussions with manufacturing giant Nike has of course long proven a leading talking point in the media in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes with the two parties, after putting their differences aside, having been locked in talks for some time, over the extension of their kit production relationship.
As per the terms of the new deal being discussed, the Blaugrana are in line to secure somewhere in the region of €90 million-per-season for the next ten seasons, as well as a signing bonus in excess of €100 million.
Amid the club’s long-standing monetary woes, as much, for obvious reasons, will come as a welcome relief for the Camp Nou brass.
And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, an official announcement regarding the deal looks set to arrive imminently.
A fresh meeting between the parties was held earlier this week, and, as per the aforementioned MD:
‘The signing is expected to take place, at the earliest, in two weeks.’
