An update on the wellbeing of on-loan Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has been forthcoming in the media late this evening.
Wide-man Ansu sparked concern once more this past weekend, in being forced into a premature departure from Brighton & Hove Albion’s Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest.
The Spanish international lasted just 20 minutes, before succumbing to what looked like a potentially serious injury.
Speaking to the media this evening, Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi was therefore asked for the latest on Ansu’s situation.
And the Italian’s ensuing response proved a hugely disappointing one.
“We have lost Ansu for a long time,” confirmed De Zerbi, with fellow Seagulls star Tariq Lamptey also primed for a spell on the sidelines.
Just how long, though, is Ansu likely to be unavailable?
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the 21-year-old has suffered a ‘significant injury’ to his right hamstring.
He is therefore forecasted to miss a period of around three months, a bitter blow for Ansu, Brighton, and Barcelona alike.
