FC Augsburg marksman Samuel Essende is on the verge of moving to BSC Young Boys, per the latest Sky Germany update.
A full agreement between the Swiss Super League club and the Bavarian side has been reached this evening, Monday 16 February.
The 28-year-old DR Congo native is expected to fetch a transfer fee of up to €4.75million, including bonuses.
After negotiations gathered pace last night according to Sky, Essende is now set to sign a contract in Bern until 2029.
The deal looked inevitable after Essende was left out of the Augsburg squad for Sunday’s 1-0 win over 1.FC Heidenheim.
Under both Manuel Baum and his predecessor Sandro Wagner, the striker played just 462 minutes in all competitions, scoring twice.
The January arrival of former SC Freiburg attacker Michael Gregoritsch signalled he was no longer part of the Bavarians’ plans.
