19-year-old Arne Engels has joined Augsburg on a long-term contract.

FC Augsburg have sealed the signing of Belgian midfielder Arne Engels.
The 19-year-old joins Augsburg on a contract until the summer of 2027 from Belgian second division club NXT, which is part of Club Brugge’s youth academy.
“Arne Engels is a highly talented midfielder who has qualities both on and off the ball. He is a very ambitious guy who wants to develop further and has consciously chosen FCA to take the next step in his career here,” said Augsburg managing director for sport Stefan Reuter.
“We want to give him the necessary time to do that and introduce him to the Bundesliga because we absolutely believe in his ability.”
