Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that FC Augsburg – in their quest to obtain additional help at the right fullback position – are set to bring Kevin Mbabu back to German football.

On a day when rumors are swirling about Ridle Baku leaving Wolfsburg, an interesting development appears set to take place. Swiss fullback Kevin Mbabu – whom Baku once displaced at Germany’s green company team – may be preparing to return to the Bundesliga. Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that FC Augsburg are in the final stages of securing the 28-year-old on loan from Fulham.
The 22-times-capped international contested 66 Bundesliga fixtures during his during his time in the northern Autostadt and scored three goals. Mbabu hasn’t appeared for Marco Silva’s Londoners yet this season. Most recently, he was loaned out to FC Servette in his native Switzerland last spring. Plettenberg claims for a Bundesliga loan are in the final stages.
