ccording to the local Augsburg Allgemeine Zeitung, FC Augsburg are on the verge of signing young Belgian talent Arne Engels.
Belgian youth international Arne Engels should be headed to Bavaria’s Fuggerstadt in the near future. The Augsburg Allgemeine Zeitung reports that its local football club recently beat out another German side (potentially 1. FC Nürnberg) in the race for the teenage talents services.
Engels currently plays for Club Brugge reserve side. He’s netted two tallies this year in the Belgian second division. The paper notes that the FCA consider the right-footed attacker to be a good option as a direct winger, a ten, an eight, or even a fullback.
The youngster’s current contract with Brugge expires at the end of the season, but the Fuggerstädter are willing to pay for his services now. Engels maintains an estimated market worth of €500,000. Per the report, Augsburg wish to shell out a little less than that.
