German footballing journalists Nikolaus Fink and Frank Linkesch of Germany’s Kicker Magazine report that FC Augsburg could land a hefty transfer fee for on-loan striker Dion Drena Beljo.
Should Austrian Bundesliga side FK Rapid Wien opt to pull their purchase option on loaned-out FC Augsburg striker Dion Drena Beljo, Germany’s Fuggerstüadter may hope to pocket upwards of €8 million for the Croat marksman. This is reported by German footballing journalists Nikolaus Fink and Frank Linkesch of Germany’s Kicker Magazine.
In an article published on the magazine’s website, the two journalists claim that Augsburg negotiated a purchase clause in the current loan agreement twice that of the 22-year-old’s estimated market worth. Stefan Reuter and the FCA administrative team paid a reported €3 million to acquire Beljo from NK Osijek in the January 2023 transfer window.
Beljo has caught fire for his new Austrian club, scoring twelve goals in 23 appearances across all competitions. In 12 Austrian Bundesliga fixtures, Beljo has already scored more goals (7) then he managed (5) in 44 German Bundesliga appearances.
Matters could get more lucrative still for the Bavarian club as, Fink and Linkesch report, Augsburg also maintain a 20 percent re-sale clause should the Viennese club opt to “flip” the twice-capped international.
