FC Augsburg have tied Chrislain Matsima down to a new long-term contract.
The Bundesliga club announced on Tuesday that the 23-year-old centre-back has signed a deal running until 2030.
“Chrislain has developed tremendously over the past few months and has stepped up to take on responsibility. We’re thrilled that he sees his future here at FC Augsburg and that we can continue this journey together. This is a strong statement about the direction the club is heading,” said Augsburg sporting director Benni Weber.
Matsima, who has become a key figure at the WWK-Arena after joining from Monaco in 2024, added:
“I’m really grateful for the trust the club has shown in me. It gives me a lot of motivation. I have the opportunity here at FCA to continue developing, take on more responsibility, and help the team achieve our goals. You can feel that we’re really building something special here.”
