Atlético Madrid, Real Betis, Sevilla, Valencia and Athletic Club (his great-grandfather was from Bilbao) are among the clubs interested in signing Getafe midfielder Mauro Arambarri, report Goal.
His contract with Getafe expires on 30 June 2023, which is why the 27-year-old Uruguayan is already looking at a potential move away.
He will be free to negotiate with clubs in one week and the Spanish sides mentioned above would get the midfielder on a free transfer and also a player who knows all about the Spanish top flight having joined Getafe in 2017.
On Friday 16 December, Arambarri obtained Spanish nationality and does not occupy a non-EU place, an additional plus for interested suitors. This has also raised his market value, which currently stands at €15m, according to the website Transfermarkt.
