An update on the future of Atlético Madrid players Antoine Griezmann, Koke and Mario Hermoso has been provided by the club’s president Enrique Cerezo.
Griezmann has established himself as a key member of Diego Simeone’s squad and had an outstanding campaign last season and this season the Frenchman has continued his fine form.
However, the club’s president has announced that Atlético are not currently in discussions with the player over a new deal to extend his stay at Los Colchoneros. The 32-year-old’s deal is set to expire on June 30, 2026.
Meanwhile, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano this week, Cerezo did confirm that the club are in discussions with both Koke and Hermoso, who both have contracts expiring in the summer.
He said: “I don’t think we are closing in on a new deal with Griezmann, but, absolutely, if he has to extend the contract he will do.
“Koke and Hermoso contracts expiring in June? We are in talks — there’s still time.”
Koke arrived at the club at the age of eight and made his debut for the first team in 2009, while Hermoso joined Atlético in the summer of 2019.
