Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe ahead of the summer, reports talkSPORT.
The Midlands club attempted to sign the 22-year-old in 2021, but the Gunners rejected their £30 million bid.
Smith Rowe has struggled for regular playing chances this term and is yet to start a game.
The England international has made 11 appearances across all competitions this term, all from the bench.
The attacker could be open to an exit to boost his chances of making it to Euro 2024.
Villa will attempt to sign him again, and a reunion with manager Unai Emery could appeal to Smith Rowe.
The Spaniard handed the Arsenal academy graduate his debut in 2018.
Villa have been one of the best sides in the Premier League since Emery replaced Steven Gerrard last October.
The Villa Park club are sixth in the table with seven games left and could be playing European football next season.
They could do with more quality additions, and Smith Rowe fits the bill.
He bagged ten goals and two assists in 33 league games last term.
A groin injury heading into this season forced him to undergo surgery, and he missed the first half of the season.
Smith Rowe could opt to remain with Arsenal, especially if they win the league.
He will be keen to force his way back into Mikel Arteta’s starting XI, but that would be tricky.
The Englishman will get the opportunity to play regularly at Villa and should jump at the chance of joining them.
He is unlikely to cost in the region of the £30m Arsenal rejected two years ago.
