Arsenal are trying again for the transfer of Raphinha after missing out on him in the summer.
The Gunners need an alternative to Mykhaylo Mudryk in attack, with the Ukraine international now closing in on a transfer to Chelsea.
Raphinha now seems to be emerging as Arsenal’s top target to strengthen in attack this January, just months after they missed out on him when he moved from Leeds United to Barcelona.
The Brazil international was a star player during his time at Elland Road, but it’s not quite happened for him at Barca so far, so he might do well to return to England.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal can do a deal for Raphinha so soon after his move in summer 2022, but it would be intriguing to see if he could make up for the club’s failure to sign Mudryk.
