Atalanta are interested in signing Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares but the Gunners have a high asking-price for the defender.
It was previously reported that La Dea are interested in Tavares and Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Atalanta definitely like the Arsenal man.
Arsenal would like an initial dry loan or a fee of about €40 million for a permanent transfer after the loan deal ends. Tavares arrived at Arsenal last summer from Benfica and he played 28 times in all competitions last season, while scoring once and getting two assists.
Lazio have been linked with a move for the full-back as well in the past and he was said to be part of Maurizio Sarri’s rebuild. Atalanta lost Robin Gosens last January and they struggled on the wing-back positions and that played a role in the club’s fall from grace as they finished outside the European spots in the 2021/22 season.
