Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs pushing to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jesper Lindstrøm, according to Patrick Berger.
The Danish international has long been linked with a move away from Frankfurt this summer and it appears a transfer is finally starting to take shape. The Eagles understand that the midfielder has reached his peak with the club and is now ready to take the next step in his career.
As per the report, Arsenal are in pole position to sign the 23-year-old who comes with a price tag of around €30m. Other clubs that have been linked with the Dane include Brentford but they are unlikely to be able to challenge Arsenal financially. Brentford already have five Danes in their squad but can’t outbid Arsenal. They would have to hope that Lindstrøm favours meeting up with his fellow countrymen in London.
Lindstrøm has played 70 competitive matches for Frankfurt, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists.
