Arsenal “really appreciate” West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport.
The 24-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, and Romano says he is a player who the Gunners have been discussing internally.

Arsenal transfer news – Declan Rice
Journalist Rudy Galetti recently informed GMS that Arsenal have made contact over signing Rice.
Regarding how much the Englishman could cost, a report from The Telegraph claims that the north London club are hopeful of striking a £70m deal with West Ham.
The Hammers will not want to lose their captain this summer, but by then he would have entered the final year of his contract.
They do have the option to extend it by another 12 months but doing so may just delay the inevitable.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about Declan Rice and Arsenal?
Romano has informed GMS that Arsenal have discussed signing Rice.
On the England international, the transfer expert said: “Let’s see how they will negotiate in the next month, but for sure, he’s a player who they discussed internally and they really appreciate. But let’s remember, there are also other clubs in the race.”

What would Declan Rice bring to Arsenal?
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy thinks Arsenal would be getting a wonderful and experienced midfielder who could be perfect for them.
“You’re not just getting a wonderful midfielder who would be there for the rest of his career maybe if they carry on, you’re also getting an English one who fans can relate to, they know he can do it in the Premier League,” Murphy said on talkSPORT.
“He’s going to get better and I think he’ll get more of a platform to score goals. I think that would be the perfect type for Arsenal because they are heavily reliant on Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka.”
In their last away fixture, Rice’s defensive quality was on show. While West Ham lost 1-0 to Wolves on the day, he still put in a strong performance.
According to WhoScored, the Hammers captain made four tackles, the most in his team, and won three aerial duels. Only Tomas Soucek (four) and Max Kilman (five) won more than him.
It is thus not hard to see what Rice would bring to Mikel Arteta’s side. They have proven to be a strong team this season, and adding the England star to the mix would only make them better.
