Arsenal have agreed on a deal to sign versatile forward Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City for a fee believed to be in the region of £45 million, according to The Atheltic.
The report goes on to say that both Chelsea and Spurs were interested in the 25-year-old’s profile but Jesus is reportedly sold on the chance to be the focal point of Arsenal’s attack.
If a deal goes through, Jesus will be reunited with former Manchester City assistant manager Mikel Arteta and with the two knowing each other very well, there shouldn’t be many problems over adaptability.

Jesus would arrive with a significant amount of experience under his belt along with offering plenty of versatility as he is comfortable in all positions across the entire frontline.
But as previously mentioned, Jesus is likely to lead the line and certainly his profile as a No. 9 in the current system at Arsenal makes sense.
Arteta instructs the centre forward to be technically secure in deeper areas and link attacks together whilst also demanding that the player in this role shows quality inside the box; traits that Jesus has frequently provided for Manchester City.
Furthermore, arguably his best attribute is movement inside the 18-yard area. Knowing when to attack the front or back post and when diving into Arsenal’s patterns of play, almost every situation generated in the final third eventually ends up with a cutback or cross delivered into a dangerous area.
The majority of Jesus’ goals for the Citizens have come from him taking up smart positions inside the box, so there is plenty of optimism of him producing consistent output if regular chances are created.
