Arsenal are planning for a busy summer transfer window with several incomings.
The club are expected to prioritise a marquee striker and a defensive midfielder but could also recruit a back-up goalkeeper ahead of next season.
Neto was signed on a year-long loan from Bournemouth last summer, but Arsenal are clearly keen on landing long-term target Joan Garcia from Espanyol.
The Spaniard’s release clause will be €25 million (£21m) at the start of July, but Espanyol could accept less for an early summer deal.
Arsenal had an offer worth €20m (£17m) turned down by the La Liga outfit last summer. A similar package could be sufficient to bring Garcia to the club.
Garcia would be a fabulous signing for the Gunners. The 23-year-old has terrific reflexes like David Raya. He has made an average of 3.7 saves per game with a success rate of 72 percent.
He has also caught the eye with his long-ball distribution, ball recoveries and ability to clear his lines. The Olympic gold medalist would be a fine deputy for Raya next term.
Arsenal could also sign his teammate Omar El Hilali, who is primarily a right-back. The defender’s deal includes a release clause worth £12.5m.
The Moroccan ace can also operate as a left-back or in central defence. He is a strong one-on-one defender and has won almost six duels and four tackles per game this term.
He has also excelled at ball recovery and interceptions. With his low buy-out clause, manager Mikel Arteta could consider him an option to add more depth to the backline.

Arsenal could sign El Hilali and Garcia for just shy of £30m combined this summer.
