Carlo Ancelotti this morning announced his matchday squad for the match against Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabéu this afternoon.
The Italian coach has not included centre-back Antonio Rüdiger among those selected for the match against Pacheta’s team.
Although Real Madrid have not officially announced the German centre-back’s absence, he has been ruled out due to a knee problem, report Mundo Deportivo.
Rüdiger a doubt for El Clásico
The Germany international will undergo tests on Monday to determine the exact extent of his injury, but the injury leaves Ancelotti’s team short in defence, with Nacho already suspended for the La Liga fixture and left-back Ferland Mendy out again with a muscular problem.
Rüdiger is now a doubt for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey Clásico against Barcelona at Camp Nou.
