Roberto De Zerbi and Marca have confirmed that Barcelona loanee Ansu Fati will be out for the next three months during a press conference.
The Italian manager confirmed that he will be out for a while after the winger picked up an injury against Nottingham Forest. “The news on Fati is that I think he will need three months to recover,” assured De Zerbi, with his team playing Burnley this weekend.
The injury is just another setback for the 21-year-old, who has had an impressive start to his time at Brighton, picking up four goals and an assist in 14 games in all competitions. Fati has suffered from seven injuries in his so-far short career, with the most severe injury leaving him sidelined for 300 days in the 2020-21 season.
