Barcelona star Ansu Fati’s future continues to be a subject of intense speculation after experiencing a steep decline in his form.
The Blaugrana No.10 looks a shadow of his former self since recovering from injury while falling down the pecking order of Xavi this season.
Fati recently found himself at the centre of media attention after his father Bori exploded at Barca over the lack of minutes while suggesting a move away from Camp Nou.
It further worsened the situation of Fati, whom Barca had already put on the chopping block for the summer.
The Catalans have also informed Fati’s agent Jorge Mendes of their intentions to sell the Spaniard. The Portuguese superagent has sounded out Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, according to a new report from Mundo Deportivo, Fati is not thinking about leaving Camp Nou this summer as he is determined to succeed at his boyhood club.
The 20-year-old was caught off guard by his father’s comments and also told his teammates he had no part to play in it.
One of the reasons for Fati’s persistence is Blaugrana manager Xavi, who sees his compatriot as a valuable player in the squad.
Fati has amassed 41 appearances in all competitions this season, netting seven goals and three assists.
He appears to be slowly gaining his confidence after starting the last two consecutive games in La Liga while scoring a goal against Elche.
Barca are also keen on signing Yannick Carrasco from Atletico Madrid, and his arrival could potentially impact the future of Fati.
The Catalan giants have also been forced to reduce their wage bill drastically to comply with FFP restrictions, and Fati could be collateral damage.
