VfB Stuttgart may have to cope without midfield talisman Angelo Stiller when they face 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga on Saturday evening.
Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß revealed at a Thursday press conference that the 24-year-old is struggling with a cold.
“‘Ange’ hasn’t trained yet. It will be tight until Saturday,” Hoeneß revealed.
Although Stiller is starting to feel better, Stuttgart “want to proceed cautiously,” Hoeneß added.
In terms of certain absences, Lazar Jovanovic and Nikolas Nartey remain unavailable.
Tiago Tomas, however, is back.
“Tiago is fit again, though he won’t be ready to start on Saturday. He’s once again an option for us, and we’re looking forward to having him fully back for the rest of the season,” Hoeneß said.
