As reported by Florian Plettenberg and Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig left-back Angeliño is to join fellow Bundesliga side Hoffenheim on a season-long loan until 2023.
The 25-year-old Spaniard is unlikely to be in RB Leipzig’s squad to face Stuttgart on Sunday with a deal expected to be announced in the coming days. Per Sky Germany, final talks took place in the last few hours and Angeliño will join Hoffenheim as a replacement for David Raum.
Romano adds further that the Angeliño’s loan will include a buy option around €20m.
Angeliño joined RB Leipzig on a permanent deal last summer after a successful 18 month loan spell at the club, playing 55 games across all competitions before moving on a permanent basis from Manchester City.
Last season, the Spanish left-back played 45 games in all competitions for RB Leipzig, but following the arrival of Raum from Hoffenheim, will find playing time hard to find.
