With the arrival of David Raum to RB Leipzig, Spanish defender Angeliño is considering a move away from the DFB Pokal champions, according to Kicker.
It’s reported that the Spain international could go to Hoffenheim who are now in search of their own left back. A potential deal for the defender remains to be seen with a possible year loan also being an option should a transfer materialise. As things stand, Angeliño is currently contracted to Leipzig until 2025.
Elsewhere Catalan newspaper, Sport, are reporting that Angeliño could be offered to Barcelona. This could be a loan deal with an option to buy or a straight transfer.
Domenico Tedesco has already confirmed that Angeliño is not up for selection: “Because he wants to clarify his future, he is not available,” said the 36-year-old head coach. This indicates that the Spanish fullback is considering his next move ahead of the new season.
Since joining Leipzig in 2020 from Manchester City, Angeliño has played over 60 competitive matches and was a part of their DFB Cup-winning side last season.
