Robert Andrich has spoken out about his Bayer Leverkusen and Germany teammate Jonathan Tah’s failed move to Bayern Munich.
Jonathan Tah was linked with Bayern Munich throughout the summer, but the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder’s move ultimately didn’t materialize.
In an interview with Sport1, Bayer Leverkusen and Germany midfielder Robert Andrich shares his thoughts on the transfer saga surrounding his teammate.
“If you can put yourself in the shoes of a footballer and a person, you know that something like this doesn’t pass you by without a trace,” Andrich said.
“I had a similar situation when I moved from Union Berlin to Leverkusen. It also took a long time. It’s only human that there are situations where you don’t know exactly what the other side is thinking.
“’Jona’ handled it really well and was professional. For us in the team, there was never any doubt that he belonged and that he was a leader. Whenever he goes on the pitch, he gives his all – and that’s the most important thing.”
