Italian striker Andrea Belotti could open up as an offensive transfer option for Valencia if a sale of Maxi Gómez materialises, according to reports by AS.
Belgian side Club Brugge have been interested in Gómez for some weeks, and should a sale be finalized, Belotti has been lined up as a potential replacement. Reportedly, both Belotti and Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso would be keen on a union.
Reportedly, Valencia will ask for a fee of €14 million euros for the Uruguayan striker, which would then allow them to look into signing Belotti and pay his wages. The Italian is a free agent after leaving Torino at the end of last season, and would reportedly welcome an opportunity in La Liga.
Belotti scored eight goals in 22 Serie A appearances in an injury-ridden 2021/22 campaign. Gómez, on the other hand, bagged only five across all competitions for Los che last season.
