Joshua Zirkzee’s stated desire to remain in Belgium beyond the season still faces many obstacles. A renewed loan arrangement remains out-of-the-question as the 21-year-old (contract only through 2023) must first extend with his Bundesliga parent club.
Moreover, Julian Nagelsmann and the FC Bayern coaching staff will certainly wish to take another look at the budding young Dutch talent after he scored 15 goals and added 8 assists this season in the Jupiler Pro League. The FCB will likely need any and all strikers to report back if matters unfold as expected this summer.
RSC Anderlecht will thus have to make an offer within or above market value over the next month. Zirkzee’s current market value is estimated to be €11 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Belgian Flemish paper Het Nieuwsblad reports are actually prepared to put this on the table.
Bayern may nevertheless still wish to give the youngster an audition after he officially returns to the club on June 30th.
