Having missed a large part of the season due to a long-term knee injury, Alphonso Davies suffered a new setback in Bayern Munich’s 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend as he was forced off with a muscle issue.
Fortunately, the injury does not appear to be serious. As reported by Munich-based outlet TZ, Davies returned to training on Thursday, completing a light 20-minute running session.
This indicates the Canada international won’t be sidelined for long, though Bayern are expected to manage his return carefully.
So far this season, Davies has made 12 appearances for the Bavarians in all competitions.
